February 2012

As you may of heard that we won 'Farm Attraction of the Year' last week.

Marsh Farm has been awarded ‘Farm Attraction of the Year’ after a visit from the National Farm Attractions Network (NFAN).

The national award, which is regarded as one of the most prestigious awards for a farm attraction, recognisesmany aspects of a venue, including visitor safety and experience, efficiency and the attitude of staff.

Facilities are also closely considered, with judges looking at the layout

Lambing season has officially arrived at Marsh Farm, with the arrival of 7 lambs.

There are currently 260 ewes due to lamb at the farm attraction in South Woodham Ferrers, with 550 lambs expected in total. The farm’s Shepherds were alerted of the arrivals at around 10am on Saturday morning, where they spent around 30 minutes helping to deliver the first batch of newborn lambs.

Visitors to the farm will be able to see the newborn lambs in the sheep shed.
