Farm Awarded ‘Farm Attraction of the Year’

Marsh Farm has been awarded ‘Farm Attraction of the Year’ after a visit from the National Farm Attractions Network (NFAN).
The national award, which is regarded as one of the most prestigious awards for a farm attraction, recognisesmany aspects of a venue, including visitor safety and experience, efficiency and the attitude of staff.
Facilities are also closely considered, with judges looking at the layout and facilities available, including parking, toilets and the welfare of animals.
Comments from the judges indicate that they were impressed with the attention to detail throughout the park, including the hygiene, love and care given to the animals.
County Councilor Jeremy Lucas visited the farm to personally congratulate the team on their hard efforts in transforming Marsh Farm into a nationally recognised family destination.
The news comes at an exciting time for the farm with more than 70 lambs now born and more than 550 expected in total.
County Councillor Jeremy Lucas, Cabinet Member for Environment and Culture said: “This is a fantastic achievement for Marsh Farm and the country parks team. It really is a pleasure to see the team receive this tremendous accolade, as it demonstrates the enormous amount of work that goes into running a farm attraction such as this.”
Jonathan Winchester, Managing Director at Shopper Anonymous said: “We were more than impressed with Marsh Farm. First impressions indicated a tidy and well loved attraction with enthusiastic and caring staff. This attraction scored highly across each category. The park is well laid out and the use of cartoon characters showed imagination and fun.”
To celebrate the achievement, the farm is inviting members of the public to take part in an exciting after school offer, with a one-off entrance fee of just £2 per person every weekday from 20 February until 31 March between 3:30 – 5pm.
