Demonstrations
All activities are subject to weather conditions, staff availability and timing.
Here are some activities that are run at Marsh Farm over the year. To find out what activities are being run when you are visiting please find the daily events notice board in the Visitor Centre, ask a member of staff or please telephone Marsh Farm.
Weekday activities
Milking Demonstration
See a cow being milked by hand or by machine in our mini milking parlour. The farm staff will then let you feed the milk to the calves. Generally at 12:00 and 3:30
Tractor and Trailer Rides
These can take up to 40 visitors at a time on our specially designed passenger trailer. It will take you to see the animals grazing in the fields out in the Country
Park and to see the birdlife on the salt marshes by the tidal River Crouch.
Meet the piglet
Find out about and get to hold the piglets in our farrowing house with one of our staff on hand to answer any questions you may have about the new born piglets.
Stroke the pets in the Pet Barn
There will be a member of staff in the pet barn between 10.30 and 12.00 to help you handle the small animals, we have rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, birds, chipmunks and many other animals for you to stroke and learn about.
Weekend, School Holidays and Bank Holidays Activities
Children's Rides
Ride on a pony, bounce on the bouncy castle, or try out our driving school. (Height restrictions and additional charges apply)
Craft Activities
Let your child get creative whilst we clear up the mess! (Small charge for materials usually between 50p and £2) Free colouring activities too.
