Demonstrations and rides
Milking Demonstrations can be booked for 11.00, 11.30 or 12.00. See a cow being milked by hand and then by machine in our mini milking parlour. The farm staff will then let you feed the milk to the calves. To ensure that all visitors can see and hear the milking, we book a maximum of 100 visitors per demonstration.
Tractor and Trailer Rides can be booked at 11.00, 11.15,1.30,1.45,2.00 and 2.15. These can take up to 40 visitors at a time on our specially designed passenger trailer. It will take you to see the animals grazing in the fields out in the Country Park and to see the birdlife on the salt marshes by the tidal River
Crouch.
Shearing Demonstrations can be booked on certain days during May and June instead of Tractor and Trailer Rides. Our shepherd will show you how he shears the wool off the sheep and what happens to it afterwards.
There will be a member of staff in the pet shed between 10.30 and 12.00 to help you handle the small animals.
