Bat Walks
27th and 29th August
Get involved in bat conservation by going on a bat walk. Experience the fun of finding bats with a bat detector, and learn from the experts how to distinguish different species of these fascinating flying mammals with the help of a ranger.
Summer Fun
Thursday 24th July
Here comes the sun and what better way to enjoy a summers day out is than to spend it at Marsh Farm Country Park. Every week there will be lots of different activities for you to take part and demonstrations to watch to keep your kids amused for hours. Also just to make that day extra special we will also have tractor and trailer rides, pet grooming, driving school, donkey and pony rides, meet a Shetland, meet a guinea pig and ferret, see the new born piglets and lots, lots more.
Camping Weekends
14th and 15th June and 5th and 6th July
Pack up your camping gear and come to Marsh Farm to experience the Farm at night. Enjoy these popular events at Marsh Farm which includes singing around the camp fire, spooky stories, walks in the Country Park and lots of family games. These are bookable events and do sell out fast. Tickets are now on sale.
Sheep Shearing Weekend
Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th May
Fancy a hair cut… well our sheep do during May at Marsh Farms Shearing Weekend. So if you would like to know what happens to the wool or you want to see what a sheep looks like without wool then bounce on down to Marsh Farm. Also don’t the new born piglets in the farrowing house or new born calves in the cow shed.
Wildlife Week
Monday 26th till Friday 30th May
Celebrate the year of the frog with a frog quiz and other froggy activities. There will be different talks throughout the week from Owl Wize, creepy crawly experts and wildlife activities with our rangers.
Guinea Pig Show
Sunday 1st June
So you think yours is the best? Your Guinea Pig likes to show off? Then this is the perfect event for you. Marsh Farm is hosting the first of two annual Guinea Pig Shows. The Essex Cavvy Society will be running competitions in this furry celebration. If you would like to enter a Guinea Pig then come to the farm before 10 o’clock with food, drink and hay for the Guinea Pigs and we will provide the cage. This is all you need to show off your precious pet and possibly win a prize.
Art Workshop
Thursday 26th June
Come and enjoy the freedom to express yourself by polishing up an existing talent or be inspired to learn a new hobby.
Join our experienced professional artist Trevor, who will help you gain confidence using different mediums as he guides you through the best ways to tackle land, sea and townscapes. Then move outdoors to have a chance to put some of those new skills into practice and get creative with the local scenery.
