Health and Safety is taken very seriously at Marsh Farm and every effort has been made to eliminate as many risks to the children as possible whilst still enabling them to have a good time. Each group that books will be sent guidelines of how to enjoy their visit safely and a copy of our risk assessment.
We shall also send you an information sheet from the HSE entitled "Avoiding ill health at open farms".
Many of the risks to children's health can be eliminated by good hygiene. To this end Marsh Farm has hand-cleansing facilities in each of the animal sheds and also in the two toilet blocks so that our visitors can wash their hands immediately after touching the animals. This is especially important before eating.
